ACCESS & CONTROL

Briefantec APPLOCK

Access guided by understandable rules.

Briefantec APPLOCK addresses controlled access to applications and websites. Defined rules set the framework for deciding which digital tools and content should be accessible within a working environment.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Make deliberate access decisions.

A digital working environment includes applications as well as websites. For both, the question is which access makes sense for the intended use. Briefantec APPLOCK brings these perspectives together through rules. It focuses on deliberate permissions and understandable requirements for access within the environment concerned.

FUNCTIONS & FOCUS

Two areas of access. One guiding principle.

01

Allow applications

APPLOCK allows access to applications according to defined rules. This gives software permissions a clear framework. The starting point is the purpose of the digital working environment and which applications should be accessible within that framework.

02

Include websites

APPLOCK’s access scope also includes websites. Rules therefore extend to content accessed through the web. When shaping a working environment, applications and websites can be considered through the same fundamental question of what should be accessible.

03

Use rules as the foundation

Defined rules form the basis for controlled access. They describe the intended framework for allowing applications and websites. The underlying decision becomes the central concern: which access fits the task and the way the environment is meant to be used?

IN PRACTICE

Let the work guide the access decision.

A suitable access rule starts with a concrete requirement. Which software does the task need, and which websites belong in the workflow? These questions help describe the intended access clearly. APPLOCK takes up this idea and focuses on controlled access to both areas. The relationship between purpose and access decisions remains at the centre of the project.
